A free toddler program at the East Tennessee History Center, 601 S. Gay Street, Knoxville, TN 37902, on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. November's Little History Lesson is railroads — the story of how the trains built East Tennessee, told at toddler scale with a read-aloud and a hands-on activity for ages 2 to 5 with a caregiver. Museum admission is free through February 14, 2027, and so is the program, but it is a small group and registration is required. Downtown Gay Street location, so plan on a garage or metered street parking. The museum is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. if you want to stay and look around.
