A free toddler program at the East Tennessee History Center, 601 S. Gay Street, Knoxville, TN 37902, on Monday, October 19, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. This month's Little History Lesson is broom making — a story, a look at the real thing and a hands-on activity built for ages 2 to 5 with a caregiver. Museum admission is free through February 14, 2027, and the program is free too, but spots are limited and registration is required, so reserve before you drive down. This is a downtown Gay Street address, so plan on a garage or metered street parking rather than a lot. Stay afterward and walk the museum — open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. More info: https://www.easttnhistory.org/event/little-history-lessons-broom-making/
